The Dakpa language (Dzongkha: Tibetan: དཀ་པ་ཁ་, Wylie: dak pa kha, also called "Dakpakha" and "D°akpakha") is an East Bodish language spoken by about 1,000 people in northern Trashigang District in eastern Bhutan, mainly in Chaleng, Phongmed Gewog, Yobinang, Dangpholeng and Lengkhar near Radi Gewog. Van Driem (2001) describes Dakpa as the most divergent of Bhutan's East Bodish languages.
