Daniel Milton "Dan" Rooney (born July 20, 1932) is the former United States Ambassador to Ireland from July 3, 2009 until his resignation in 2012. He is chairman of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team in the National Football League (NFL), which was founded by his father, Art Rooney.
