David A. Hayes (born 22 October 1962) is a prominent Australian Thoroughbred racehorse trainer and son of trainer Colin Hayes. Hayes has trained a total of 78 Group One winners, (60 in Australia, 17 in Hong Kong and 1 in Japan) including Melbourne Cup, Cox Plate, Caulfield Cup and Golden Slipper winners.David Hayes became the youngest member to be admitted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2008.
