Demetrius I (/dɪˈmiːtriəs/; Greek: Δημήτριος; 337–283 BC), called Poliorcetes (/ˌpɒli.ɔrˈsiːtiːz/; Greek: Πολιορκητής, "The Besieger"), son of Antigonus I Monophthalmus and Stratonice, was a Macedonian nobleman, military leader, and finally king of Macedon (294–288 BC).
