Eamonn John Bannon (born 18 April 1958, Edinburgh) is a former Scottish football player who played in midfield. He began his career at Hearts in the mid 1970s before having a brief spell at Chelsea. He returned to Scotland in 1979 to sign for Dundee United where he enjoyed great success. Bannon was a key member of their League Championship winning side of 1983 and helped his side reach the semi-final of the European Cup the following season.
