Embrafilme was the Brazilian State funded company created in 1969 for production and distribution of Brazilian movies.It was disbanded by the government of Fernando Collor de Mello in 1990.Nowadays the functions of the extinct Embrafilm are the ones of Ancine, "Agência Nacional do Cinema" in Portuguese. The Agency was created in 2001.
