The Ersu language proper (Chinese: 尔苏; Eastern Ersu) is a Qiangic language spoken in western Sichuan, China. It is the most widely spoken of the three Ersu languages. There are 13,000 speakers according Sun (1982).Sun (1991) documents Ersu of Zeluo Township 则拉乡 (or Zela 则洛), Yutian District 玉田区, Ganluo County 甘洛县, Sichuan (Sun 1991:231).
