Fontenay-aux-Roses (IPA: [fɔ̃tnɛ oʁoz]) is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 8.6 km (5.3 mi) from the center of Paris.École Normale Supérieure was a girls school located in the area. Unfortunately for the city, the school, that was one of the most prestigious of Paris and even of whole France in term of scientific research, closed several years ago.Fontenay is the location of the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique, where the reactor Zoé was activated.
