The Ford V platform is a dedicated minivan platform exploited by Ford and Mercury. It was the second minivan-specific platform utilized by Ford in North America (the first being the VN1 used by the Ford Aerostar). It was introduced for the 1999 model year when Ford introduced the second-generation Windstar minivan. After the 2007 model year, the V platform was discontinued in favor of large CUVs based on the D4 platform.
