Fred Beardsworth (born 1899 in Leyland, Lancashire, England; died October 10, 1964 in New Bedford, Massachusetts) was an English football (soccer) halfback who played in the Southern New England Soccer League and the National Association Football League. He is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.Beardsworth played for two youth clubs while growing up. He joined Farington Villa of the Preston and District League in 1908 when he was nine.
