The Frontier Force Regiment is one of six infantry regiments of the Pakistan Army. They are popularly known as the "Piffers" (a reference to the former PIF (Punjab Irregular Force)) or as the "FF" (i.e. frontier force). The regiment takes its name from the historic North-West Frontier. Most ancestor units of the regiment are Punjabi or Pathan infantry regiments. However the oldest ancestor unit is the Scinde Camel Corps raised in 1843.
