He is a NIH Distinguished Investigator and the Chief of the Protein NMR Spectroscopy Section in the Laboratory of Chemical Physics of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, and a member of the United States National Academy of Sciences.
