Hamid Dizdar (22 February 1907 – 17 July 1967) was a Bosnian writer and poet. He younger brother Mak Dizdar was also a prominent poet.Hamid Dizdar was born to a Muslim Bosniak family in Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was the son of Muharem (died 1923) and Nezira (née Babović; 1881–1945). Hamid was the oldest of three children. His younger brother Mehmedalija went on to become a celebrated poet, known by the name Mak Dizdar.
