Karan Dewan (1917–1979) was an Indian cinema actor in Hindi films. He worked in over seventy films from 1941–79. He started as a journalist while still in college, editing a film-based magazine in Urdu. His brother was a film producer and director, Jaimani Dewan.His decisive film was Rattan (1944) which turned out to be the biggest hit of 1944. He was given a break as a singer by music director Naushad and his song "Jab Tum Hi Chale Pardes" became popular.
