Massakre is a Chilean thrash metal band, and a pioneer for the genre both in Chile and throughout Latin America. The band started as a garage band from 1982 to 1984 and moved into thrash metal in 1985. It has released three studio albums, Massacre (1989), Psychotic Redemption (2001) and Crematorium (2005) with various other releases like demos, EPs, and compilations. They are also known for using corpse paint in a thrash metal band, later imitated by others.
