Maura K. Johnston (born May 28, 1975) is a writer, editor and music critic. She is the editor of Maura Magazine, an online culture publication. A member of Boston College's journalism faculty, she has written for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Rolling Stone, The Awl, Newsday and Boston Magazine.Johnston was a founding editor of Gawker Media's Idolator, and she worked for the site until November 2009.
