The Model N engine was produced by the Ford Motor Company. It first appeared in the Model N, which made its debut at the 1906 New York Auto Show in New York City, New York. The engine at fist was a 2 cylinder with two spark plugs per cylinder. The valves had an L layout, meaning there was one valve per cylinder. By 1907, there was a 4 cylinder option with the same layout as the two cylinder.
