Naxos (/ˈnæksɒs/; Greek: Νάξος, pronounced [ˈnaksos]) is a Greek island—at 429 km2 (166 sq mi) the largest of the Cyclades island group in the Aegean. It was the centre of archaic Cycladic culture.
