Orez Shu'it (Hebrew: אורז שעועית‎) (Ladino: Avas kon arroz or Avikas kon arroz) is an Israeli dish referred to white beans cooked in a tomato paste and served on a white rice.The dish was developed by Sephardic Jews in the old city of Jerusalem and was later adopted by another Jewish sects.It is today served in houses and restaurants in Jerusalem where it is served as a side dish as part of the regional cuisine of Jerusalem.Modern variations includes adding meat (beef, lamb, chicken) and fried onions as part of the dish itself.
