Paula Schwartz Apsell (born July 4, 1947) (Brandeis Alumni Soc. & USPRI)Paula Apsell, is the WGBH television executive producer of NOVA and director of the WGBH Science Unit. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, she grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Her grandfather was a cobbler and an immigrant from Kiev (1930 Census). In 1969 she graduated from Brandeis University with a degree in psychology.
