Pematangsiantar (sometimes written as Pematang Siantar, acronym PT. Siantar or P. Siantar, colloquially just Siantar but the official name has no space) is an independent city in North Sumatera, Indonesia, surrounded by, but not part of, the Simalungun Regency.
