Ruth Simon (born c. 1962) is an Eritrean journalist. Simon worked with the Eritrean People's Liberation Front during the Eritrean War of Independence, heading its secret publications. She also served as editor-in-chief of the Association for the Reintegration of Eritrean Women Guerrilla Fighters magazine Bana.After the war, she was arrested on 25 April 1997 by the Eritrean government while working as a correspondent for Agence France-Presse (AFP).
