SS Amelia Earhart (Hull Number 117) was a Liberty ship built in the United States during World War II. She was named after Amelia Earhart, an American female aviator who disappeared over the Pacific Ocean. The ship was laid down on 19 October 1942, then launched on 18 December 1942. The ship survived the war, including the largest trade convoy HX 300; but it was wrecked and declared a total loss in 1948.
