The Lead was an American Christian punk band from Florida, formed in 1984. They were Julio Rey (vocals, songwriting, and guitar), Robbie Christie (drums, songwriting, and vocals), and Nina Llopis (bass, vocals and songwriting). Andy Coyle joined the band on guitar between 1989 and 1991.The Lead helped pioneer Christian punk music. They were one of the first bands to break the mold of the traditional, Christian music of the early 1980s.
