Thomas Gardner Ford, Sr. (July 15, 1918 – August 28, 1995) was an American politician and businessman.Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ford served in the United States Army during World War II. He graduated from University of Michigan and worked at the Ford Paint and Varnish Company in Grand Rapids. He served on the Kent County, Michigan Board of Commissioners 1958-1964. He then served in the Michigan House of Representatives 1964-1972 as a Republican.
