Tripi is a town and comune in the province of Messina (Sicily, Italy). It is located on the site of Abacaenum, an ancient Greek colony. Tripi, Sicily is known for many Cosa Nostra connections from throughout Sicily and were very quiet to everyone. Palermo, and Tripi were home to many great families. Most of the Early Sicilian immigrants went to America by the 1920s. Most Sicilians were given the last name of the town they came from Ex: Vito (Andolini)Corleone from the Godfather.
