Vincent Mangano (pronounced MAHN-ga-noh) (March 28, 1888 – April 19, 1951), born Vincenzo Giovanni Mangano, also known as "The Executioner" as he was named in a Brooklyn newspaper, was the head of what would come to be known as the Gambino crime family from 1931 to 1951.
