Financed primarily by listener contributions, Lakeshore Public Radio is affiliated with National Public Radio. The station is owned and operated by Northwest Indiana Public Broadcasting, Inc. which also owns and operates WYIN a PBS affiliate. It was the primary station of the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
