Zelzal-2 (Persian: زلزال-۲, meaning "Earthquake") is an unguided Iranian 610 mm heavy artillery rocket that can carry a 600 kg (1,323 lb) warhead an estimated 210 km (130 mi). The missile is thought to be based on the Soviet FROG-7 missile, with development that began in 1990.As of August 2006, it has been reported that Iran had supplied Hezbollah with Zelzal-2 missiles. Similar claims had already been made in 2002, but no proof has been found in subsequent years.
