It is found in sub-Saharan Africa, including Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, eastern Zimbabwe, northern Botswana and Madagascar.
