"Gregory's wolf (Canis rufus gregoryi), also known as Gregor's red wolf, the Mississippi Valley wolf, and sometimes as the Texas red wolf, and swamp wolf is a subspecies of the red wolf, Canis rufus, that in its original range roamed the regions in and around the lower Mississippi River basin, and now inhabits North Carolina, US. It is suspected to be the middle subspecies between the red wolf and the Florida black wolf."@en . . . . . "Gregory's wolf"@en . "Canis lupus gregoryi" . . . .
