Guarambar\u00E9 was the name of a Guaran\u00ED tribe in North-Eastern Paraguay at the time of the founding of the Spanish colony during the 1500s. A Franciscan reduction was founded between 1580 and 1600 in the modern day department of Concepci\u00F3n, south of the river Aquidab\u00E1n.
