It is located on the southern coast of the lake Sn\u00E5savatnet about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southwest of the municipal center of Sn\u00E5sa. It is located along the Nordlandsbanen railway line, which stops at the J\u00F8rstad Station. The village area is also referred to as Vestbygda (western village) or Breide.
