The La Pacana Complex belongs to the Altiplano\u2013Puna volcanic complex. The Chilean, Bolivian, and Argentinan borders meet to the northeast of the resurgent center (Cerro La Pacana), the Salar Aguas Calientes is on the southwest of the resurgent center.
