"Sandstad is a village and former municipality in S\u00F8r-Tr\u00F8ndelag county, Norway. It is located in the present-day municipality of Hitra. The village of Sandstad lies on along the Trondheimsleia on the southeastern coast of the island of Hitra, about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southwest of Hestvika.
