"Skarvanes is a village on Sandoy, in the Faroe Islands.Its last permanent inhabitant died in 2000, although there was still a family of four living in a nearby valley. Later a few more people moved back to the village. At the moment (2014) there are three families living there: one of them is a family of five - 3 children and two parents.
