Chainel has previously competed for the Auber 93, Bbox Bouygues Telecom FDJ, and Ag2r-La Mondiale teams.Chainel left FDJ-BigMat at the end of the 2012 season, and signed a two-year contract with Ag2r-La Mondiale for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
